Occasionally, it may be necessary to add or remove owners to and from the title of your property. This is typically referred to as a Change (or Transfer) of Title.
Making changes to title can become necessary in marital/common-law separations or when co-signers (usually parents/family members) are needed to allow a person to qualify for a mortgage. Once a residing owner can carry the mortgage independently, they may choose to remove co-signers. Transfer of title is also used to remove an owner who has passed away.
